The list of benefits seems long but the strengthening and support of the body against exhaustion, disease and
exertion could be associated with the substances in the blood responsible for the fast growing of the antlers. Research has
shown that Deer blood contains the growth hormone IgF-1, which promotes the renewing of cells, assisting the body to fight the signs
of ageing and speed up recovery from surgery.
Collection of Deer Blood
All our Stag Blood ( male deer) products are collected
only during the Deer Velvet growing season (October – February in NZ) so its effectiveness is excellent. The growing antlers
of the deer are removed, under veterinary supervision and with careful application of pain relief. This technique was developed
and approved in New Zealand by the Animal Welfare Advisory Council, which is a group of animal welfare advocates and government representatives. In New Zealand, the removal of antlers takes place about 50-55 days after casting of the previous hard antlers, which is about half
way through the period of normal growth. The blood is then sterilized and using a patented method the blood is freeze-dried,
ground into a powder to use in our capsules. The whole processing method of manufacturing our Stag Blood product, protects the
sensitive nutrients and components to ensure that our product is one of the best Stag Blood products worldwide.
